Uuuuggghh...Ok, so as most of you know. I got this real bad habit of working like crazy and starting my day by the crack of NOON! hehe...actually alot of people have this idea that I'm lazy especially in business because I am not up and chipper by 7am trying to drive into the office. The things people forget to see is that at this moment it is 4:25am in the morning, and while everyone else is cozy in their beds thinking about how they are going to act busy at work at 8am, I am still breaking loose trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents...(that's a dime and a nickel)...ok for the people who keep seeing me write that and then ask themselves..."why does he keep referencing that saying?" Well it's the lyrics of a hip hop song featuring digital underground and tupac. If you still don't know and need further clarification...don't worry about it...just know that after I say the dollar out of fifteen cents...you are to say "a dime and a nickel." Just humor the big mexican.:)
So what Phone List are you talking about Big Ben. As some of you know, I own a media and consulting firm where I help everyone from Non-profit organizations all the way up to major companies specializing mostly in small to medium businesses who don't have three million to spend yearly. hehe... Well in the past twelve months, I have been getting calls from different business acquaintances all across the country asking me to help them find monies for different real estate and construction projects they are working on all over the world. NOW LET ME FIRST TELL YOU THAT I AM NOT OR HAVE EVER PROFESSED TO BE A "FINDER OF MONIES" OR "VENTURE CAPITALIST." As I scratch my head and "shift" while I lay in bed, I keep thinking what the...who is calling me at 8am trying to ask for money? As I ask them, they say...well we heard that you helped this guy over here with his deal...NOW I GET IT. I opened pandora's box. Doing one good deed for a friend by putting two of my friends together and me getting a small nominal fee for my time and effort putting everyone together has now put in the MONEY FINDING BUSINESS! Now dont' get me wrong. It's very flattering having people call me early in the morning asking me for $400Million for their project while I roll over and fart, but this all stems from helping one person on one deal...and now having to figure out what to do. I got deals popping up in Chicago, Mississippi, Panama...and that was just today.
I'm a media and consulting agency. I love helping and watching my clients grow and be happy because they listened to me and now have a viable product, company or promotional campaign. That's is what I really like to do because I can see the tangibility of it. There's alot of $$ in helping people find money, but this ain't me...
YEAH, I KNOW. I JUST NEED TO SHUT UP. BE HAPPY I GOT BUSINESS RIGHT NOW WITH THE STATE OF THE ECONOMY, AND PUT MY NOSE ON THE GRINDSTONE.
Well thanks for understanding. :) Gotta go to bed. Got somebody calling me in a couple of hours...LOL!!!!
